Damian

Damian is Phil's son and has as you might say inherited his fathers interest, in tattooing he used to come to the shop with Phil before he left school and has done jobs before taking on the role of tattooist and bodypiercer, Damian has been tattooing for around ten years now and has himself become a respected tattooist in his own right. May one day he will take the helm from his father.

Malcolm

Phil started tattooing me when I was 18 (1991 ) and I spent most weekends at the Billington street studio collecting tattoos and piercings or just hanging around as I really liked the atmosphere of the place and the social aspect.
In 1999 I was invited to do the reception at Tattoo Club of Northampton at Bridge street on Saturdays, which involves answering the phone, public interaction, preparing line drawings, putting together tattoo designs, making teas, running errands and generally helping out/keeping the tattoo studio running smoothly. Soon, after Damian started to tattoo alongside Phil, I stepped up and started body piercing. In doing so I also took more notice in how tattoos were being done. By November 2001 I was employed full time at Tattoo Phils on Wellingborough road as full time Body piercer and tattoo apprentice. Since 2003 I have been tattooing full time at Tattoo Phils at Wellingborough road.
Currently, I am enjoying tattooing old school ( western traditional), oriental, writing, horrible, scary stuff, tribal, weird tribal, freeky tweeky, religious or any tattoo that makes you happy!

Gareth

He began having his own work done by Phil some years ago and started out at Phil's by running errands and generally hanging about at the studio helping out whilst working elsewhere. Gareth works mainly as a tattooist and has been tattooing for 6 years as well as being a body piercer. He works very hard and again has had a varied career before starting to work for the business. Like all of us he is accommodating and easy to get on with. Gareth does an awful lot of freehand work and prepares a lot of special requests for people and loves getting stuck in to all styles of tattooing but does enjoy, in particular, doing black and grey tattoos and has a genuine passion for his work.

Mitch

I'm Mitch, I've been working for tattoo Phils for 4 years now, Phil has brought me up and has been a father to me since I was a few months old , after I left school I began coming into the shop and generally helping out. I then realised that I really enjoyed working in the tattoo industry and was given a job on the desk putting designs together, answering the phone and cleaning around the shop. I then went onto being taught piercing, I started from the bottom and have been working my way up.The past 4 years I have been training to tattoo under the mentor of Phil and Damian they now believe I'm at the stage where I can cover peoples days off and am able to tattoo a couple of days a week

James

My name is James I've been working for Phil since July 2010 my job is working behind the desk helping customers with their tattoo designs. I also perform body piercings, maintain the cleaning and generally making sure the studio is running properly.
You will usually find me at Tattoo Phil's at 142 Wellingborough road however sometimes my presence may be required at in 50b Bridge street.
